Things had gotten so bad that i would sometimes miss school for weeks at a time. As i got older i began to realize that everything i had thought before was now totally wrong. I saw myself at seven-years-old, climbing my papaws sacred apple trees and swimming in the creek on hot july days.

For a split second i thought my older brother, the one who has always been there for me, my best friend from the minute i was born, was dead. I think now you know how my days at school used to be. All of a sudden, i saw a big car heading my way real fast. The moment i realized our vehicle was approaching the rear end of another car, i shut my eyes tightly and prayed it was just a dream. With the way id been living my life, something was bound to happen eventually. I was discouraged by the drudgery, loneliness, and lack of direction i found embedded in my day to day experience. The impact bent the whole frame of my car, and i remember being able to touch the other drivers bumper from my window (which was now in a million pieces on the ground)! Luckily, my friends were okay and didnt have to stay the night at the hospital. My mind and heart was opened in a whole new way. I also had a hard time waking up to go to school in the morning.
